Hanging Basket Makeover
Do you have a charming little basket sitting around that could use a bit of a refresh, or perhaps you’ve spotted one at a thrift store that has potential? This simple and creative DIY project will walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to breathe new life into an old or outdated basket, giving it a stylish and updated look that’s perfect for your home décor.
- Find a small hanging basket. You can choose to keep the hanging cord or remove it.
- Paint the basket with your paint of choice. I used a semi-gloss white paint and primer spray paint by Krylon
- Attach a sign. I made my own for this project but you can definitely buy one already made and attach it with floral wire.
- Cut floral foam to fit nicely inside your basket and hot glue it in place.
- Arrange florals of choice in basket. If needed, attach ribbon of choice to the basket.
Materials You’ll Need
- 1 – Small hanging basket
- 1 – Paint of choice
- 1 – Decorative sign
- 1 – Package of floral foam
- 2 – Artificial floral bouquets
- Ribbon to hang basket
